This song has long been a favorite, but we admittedly didn’t fully capture it’s essence on the Polaris EP. So when our friend Denver Bon invited us to record a stripped down version to tape, we jumped at the opportunity. The recording session occurred just over two weeks ago, when the world seemed at least partially right side up. The music and lyrics have taken on more salience in the light of recent events, so Jeremy worked hard and fast mixing and mastering to get it out to you today, a day when Bandcamp has pledged to set aside all proceeds for artists financially impacted by the current health crisis. To be honest, we are fortunate to be better off than many others in this regard; those whose tours have been cancelled or whose album releases are overshadowed by current events. Sadly, the hardship does not stop there, and ripples out to workers, venues, restaurants and others to an almost unfathomable degree. We’ve made this track free to download, but anything you want to donate we’ll throw back at completing our second LP, which we are happy to say is well within striking distance. But please, if you can support artists directly impacted by this mess we’ve all found ourselves in, we encourage you to do so.
